Open to: Account Executive at Laravel

Jonathan Hunt Senior Account Executive.

131% of quota. Ex-engineering recruiter. Ready to sell the tools developers already love.

I run full-cycle mid-market and enterprise deals up to $450K ARR, and I spent two years recruiting software engineers before that, so I know how engineers evaluate, push back, and buy. This site is a Laravel app I deployed on Laravel Cloud, because I'd rather use a product before I sell it.

02 / proof points

The work behind the numbers

Situation, approach, result.

Enterprise

$450K ARR enterprise managed services deal, the largest in the region

Situation
An enterprise customer needed hardware, software, and ongoing managed services from one partner, with sign-off from several stakeholders.
Approach
I ran the full cycle and built relationships up to the C-level. I worked closely with their IT team to scope, implement, and manage the services, which kept the rollout on track and the relationship growing after signature.

$450K ARR · #1 in region, FY24

New business

A net-new engine, not just a renewals desk

Situation
FY25 called for growth from new logos, not only from the existing base.
Approach
I prospected outbound consistently, kept the pipeline full, and turned first deals into long-term partnerships with cross-sell and upsell.

131% of quota · 160%+ net new

Engineers

Two years earning the trust of software engineers

Situation
As an engineering recruiter, I placed developers at high-growth startups, where credibility with technical people decides everything.
Approach
I worked with engineering leads to define hiring standards and learned how engineers assess tools, teams, and tradeoffs.

03 / how I sell

Selling to developers

01

Tie every deal to ROI

Executives buy outcomes. I build the business case with the customer, in their numbers, before procurement ever asks for it.

02

Map every stakeholder

Complex deals stall when someone is missing from the room. I find the champion, the evaluator, and the economic buyer early.

03

Speak the engineer's language

Developers veto tools they don't trust. My recruiting years taught me to listen like an engineer, and that skill travels.

04 / why laravel

Selling something developers already love

Laravel turned a framework people love into a company with a full platform around it. That's rare: millions of developers chose the product before sales ever calls. I've spent my career selling complex hardware, software, and services to multi-stakeholder buyers, and two years earning engineers' trust. I want to put both to work turning that affection into adoption at teams and companies.

Laravel Cloud

Fully managed hosting for Laravel apps. This site runs on it.

Forge

Server provisioning and deploys on the customer's own cloud. The trusted on-ramp for existing teams.

Nightwatch

Monitoring built for Laravel. Easy to land, and a natural reason to expand.

Vapor

Serverless Laravel on AWS for teams that need to scale on demand.

05 / off the clock

Outside the pipeline

The numbers are what I do. This is who I do it for.

Family first

Husband to an amazing wife. Dad to two boys.

They're my favorite people, my biggest fans, and the reason I work the way I do.

Happiest outside

Hiking a new trail or exploring a place I've never been.

Comfort zone: optional

I say yes to things that challenge me. Same instinct I bring to a hard deal.

Ask me about

I'll always take a recommendation.

  • New books

Let's talk pipeline.

I'd love to help more teams go from laravel new to a signed contract.
